Is this a good encoding process?

I am encoding from SVCD to DivX and want to check that my method is ok.

First I make a DVD2AVI project of all the mpeg2 files using Field Operation -> Swap Field Order, and demuxing the audio.

I then convert the DVD2AVI project to VFAPI and make a WAV file out of the audio.

I open the VFAPI file in Virtualdub and use these filters:

1. null transform to crop the video
2. telecide 1.2 beta 4
3. resize (precise bicubic A=1.00)

I choose Video -> Frame Rate and choose "Reconstruct from fields - adaptive"

I then add in the WAV audio and encode with DivX 5 two pass and 128kbps MP3.

Any problems or better ways to do this process would be greatly appreciated.
