ripping moulin rouge

hi all!

hope this thread belogs in this section...

i wanted to rip moulin rouge (region 2 - german dvd). everything went fine... but recently someone that had seen this movie in the cinema told me there were german subtitles during the film... but only when they sing. in my rip, these subtitles are missing.

the dvd contained two angles with the movie length. i chose the one smartripper had selected. i also enabled stream processing but only selected the video and german audio stream. no subtitles because i thought they would be displayed the whole film.

can anyone help me... i mean... anyone here that had experiences with subtitles which are only partially in a film (eg. in music parts) ?

Subtitles are their own stream too. You will need to demux them also.

I've just ripped this and I don't think any of the subs is the one your looking for (I've been looking at them in DVD2SVCD). The second PGC looks very interesting, but I haven't been able to decode why it's there. If you have a fast com try extracting both.
