... but every time isee that
sound is out of sync.... sound comes after the action.. and some time it repeats. This is a symptom of using "The Playa" with abr/vbr mp3 sound. If you're using "The Playa" ... stop. You may select any of the many .avi players available at www.doom9.org, or use the Windows Media Player.BTW what is this cridts???? how do i set this ???. Gordian Knot allows you to optionally reduce the quality (and space) consumed by a film's end-credits. Often these are black screens with scrolling names and job titles, and many people find that if they cut the quality of the final credits of a movie, they can increase the quality of the rest of the movie, or the sound.
You set this on the frame display window that appears when you open your .d2v project in GKnot. To set it, 1) move the slider to the point you'd like quality to be reduced, and 2) click the "Set End Credits" button. Then, when you click on "Save and Encode" be sure to set the trim option to "both," as instructed in Doom9's guides.I dont see the auto corp radio button ????.You may not be running the latest release of GKnot. The latest release is 0.23.When i save the dvd2avi file is get 2 files one is video.. and the other is ac3 audio... in this i see the dealy in the file name sometime and no delay sometimes... is this ok????Yes. The delay you see is set by the DVD author, and comes from the .ifo data. It may be positive or negative, and is used by GKnot when muxing sound and video as the final step of a standard GKnot job. (For more information on .vob and .ifo structure, see the "DVD Basics" section of www.doom9.org.)

@jggimi
thanks for the reply... but what if i dont want to use credits???
like i am converting a small clips. Initially i didnt set any credits and what i saw was the same clip was appended at the end of first clip(audio+ video quality ok) with very low resulution without audio.
It worked well in mediaplayer without any issues :)

...what if i dont want to use credits???Don't. Leave trim options off, which is the default. They are designed for use with complete movies, which you're not doing.... what i saw was the same clip was appended at the end of first clip(audio+ video quality ok) with very low resulution without audio.The only thing I can think of is that you did not follow step 1) and 2) above, but did select them in trim options. So your credits began at the first frame.

hi...
jggimi
One more help. I had ripped Gladiator(in fact i couldn't rip with Smartripper or vstrip, i hd problems, like it took too long time and ripped at 1x speed :(, [my dvd is sony16x with pacthed rpc1 fw.] and some time it use to get struck in between. I directly copied form dvd to HDD as the dvd was **unencrypted** based on vob file. all file are playing well.) Since there are 4 file how do i convert it, use one vob at a time??? and later join in ndub or vdub????? I am planning for 2, 700mb disc.
Any advice will be apperciated :) This is my first full length movie. How about to fit on 1, 700mb disc???? Regarding the rip... what could be the problem, dvd disc or the patched fw??? 1sp6.

I have no idea what you've done or why you've had problems. I have always been successful using SmartRipper in movie mode. It will automatically select angle 1 of the longest program chain.
But, if you have a good set of vob files, you should be able to concatenate them with dvd2avi. Open the first, which will open a window where you can add the second, etc.
