We've added a couple of updated how-to guides to the DivX Support section. The new Gordian Knot guide and the Official DivX Guide are updated for DivX 5.0. More updated guides are coming soon.

The guide tries to automate the encoding using Gnot and divx5 pro. But first one has to open Vdub and choose there the options he/she wants to divx5 pro.
I did that, and then started the encoding, but when Gnot was trying to open the log file, after first pass, it gave an error, saying that it couldn't open it. Then it started the second pass(?), but i aborted the all thing.
I will continue to do things manually (this way i can encode credits at a diferent bitrate), until the new Gnot comes out.

I think for now the doom9 guide to use divx 5 pro with the gordian knot is the best solution, beasides I like that because it's possible to ad more that one job to virtual Dub, and so if we have a fast mavhine it's possible to encode 2 ou 3 movies in a single day without interruption! :)

For now, I've made two rips with these method and the results are excelent!
