Ripping image gallery only and straight from DVD?

I wanna extract some images from an image gallery that is a bonus feature on a DVD. Can I do this straight from the DVD? Or do I really have to rip the whole DVD as UI usually do with Smartripper?

And what kind of format are those pics in? Jpeg? They seem to be in the smaller vobs on the DVD but I just don't seem to be able to get em. Thanks for any info!

For that the best way is using PowerDVD . Go to the image you want and take a snapshot (screen shot) and it will be saved in BMP format.

Actually I think your method is quite the opposite of the best way cause

a) you have to make it manually for every single picture
b) in a lot of cases those smaller pics have some frames around em
and so you have to cut em out later

The best way would be a filter for VirtualDub or something that scans all the vobs for pics (ARE those gallery pics bmp or what?) and extracts them automatically to a specified folder. Is there already a tool that does this?
