Hi,

skip the last chapter while ripping. Is a kind of new Copy Protection on several titles.
When this happens, most of the time the audio of the very last chapter of this title is set to a different rate which leads to this error message because it's invalid for authoring.

In this case the last chapter does not include any valuable content (not even a chapter marker for playback).

I ran into this same issue. I'm using the DVD Maestro guide. When I use DVD2avi which is where I rip my audio I dont see an option where I choose chapters. Can you be a little more specific for a newbie.

THanks !!!

Hi,

three options:

1) you do it while ripping
- in DVDDecrypter and Smartripper you have the opportunity to exclude chapters from being copied to harddisk, pls. look at the doom9 guides for detailed instructions

2) you have the VOBs already on the harddisk + the vts_0x.ifo
- you can demux the audio from the vobs using e.g. Vstrip
- you open (add) the vts_0x.ifo to the input dialog (IFO map)
- you get all chapters listet, in the right window you deselect the last
- down below you see an overview of the A+V streams note down the hex number of the ones you want, say 0x80 e.g.
- now you switch to the output map
- unselect ALL by pressing the 'NONE' button upper right corner
- now select the appropriate stream, say 0x80 (you need to show the substreams (checkbox upper right corner) ONLY one stream at a time (!)
- checkbox demux (on the left) NO AC3 HEADER !!! NO SPLIT !!!
- choose a file name on the top and press run

3) in DVD2AVI
- with the slider at the bottom
- press the IN bracket button after opening the vobs
- now slide to the far right
- press the out button
- you may get rid of the frames with inconsistent frame rate at the end

Thanks for the quick reply. I knew about the option of excludiong chapter during the ripping provcess with smartripper. As you went on to explain the 'if' I already have them on my HD which was my case. So your 2nd or 3rd option should be able to help. I will try it this weekend.

Thanks for the quick help !!!! Love this hobby/doom9/forum!!!
