Okay...
I create an uncompressed video AVI with Jasc's Animation shop 3 and loaded it into TMPEG. Then I loaded a wave file. After doing this, I loaded the DVD NTSC Template and started encoding. But it will not encode. I get the following error:
The error occured when the ACM was initialized .
What does this mean?
I do not think it has anything to do with the video but not sure.
I tried the advise from johnmeyer:
O.K. here's the solution (at least it was for me). Some gremlin disabled two of my audio compression codecs. To fix the problem, open Control Panel, then open the "Multimedia" icon, then click on the "Devices" tab. Open the "Audio Compression Codecs." Then, double-click each compression codec. Make sure that "Use this audio codec" is selected. On my system, some gremlin (not me) had disabled the "Fraunhofer IIS MPEG Layer-3" codec and also the "Microsoft PCM Converter" codec. I re-enabled these two codecs, and the problem went away.
That isn't the problem for me.
Oh, I tried using a MP3 audio source and it quite about 64% through the encoding process. Something about a conflict with reading the audio compression.
