Lets say some movie is 710x280 after I cut all black borders. And considering aspect ratio I should probably aim for 640x272 encoded frame. Here are two ways to go from here:
1. Standard way :) whatever it is for you
2. Cut it a little more to 710x272 and resize only it's width leaving heigth at 272.
Yes, second way may lead to cutting some of the "good picture" - more than just top and bottom black bars. I just wondering if the fact that we resize only one dimension will give better quality ? Lets say it is ideal cleanest movie and noise/softening doesn't matter. What would you prefer ?
