Hi,
I'am starting to get a hand on capture/encode TV-capped series.
But I always go for the best result.
In general when i convert vob to mpg-file (SVCD), each engoder give
the same "quality", the only differences is the time used.
Now I'am using DVD2SVCD(with CCE), and are wery satisfied with the result.
But my cabel-delivery does not have the same quality on all channels. So my question is witch encoder to use? When I use TMPGE(SVCD), marked "Noise Reduction" and "Sharpen Edge" under advanced settings, i got the BEST result. The only drawback is the days my PIII-500 is working.
If the avi-source that i have capped is wery noisless, i use AVI2SVCD (part of DVD2SVCD), and the result is OK. But some avi-capped sourses has moe noise than i like. And the result even with 5-pass encoding is nothing to bragg about.
How do YOU solve similiar problems.
Best regards
Dilbert
