Well further to my last post:
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=22202
I have discovered the following... If I play the avi in the divx player I get audio sync problems as described. If I play the exact same avi in media player (in WinXP) there are no sync problems but I feel the video quality is less (I guess it should be identical... is this just me imagining things? :)).
So, anybody else noticed this? The strange thing is, if I encode in xmpeg as described in last post the sync is fine in both players. So I could only suggest an dubbing error in Virtual dub?, a decoding mp3 error in DivX player?
Thoughts??
