What is better? nandub (SBC) or "normal" Virtual Dub with Divx5

Hey?

Have anyone tried these two ways to create a movie?

Using Nandub (SBC!) with DivX5 or
Using VirtualDub with DivX5

Which is better?

Why don't you try doing some test to see with you own eyes? Try to encode a movie with SBC and the same with DivX5 and compare them. There is no "better". Both have their pros and cons..

Divx5 is faster. Nandub is sharper. Divx5 therefore has less artifacts. Nandub has problems with uniform areas. Divx5 is buggy. Nandub likes to throw in bad frames (but it's no biggie). Divx5 is easier. Nandub is free (really free). So yes it's your choice. Look at the doom9 mpeg4 codec comparison; Divx5 is like Divx4, only better ;). For a newbie I'd have to say Divx5.
