Hello,

I recently "updated" my computing platform and now I noticed
that decrypting does not work - or rather - it works but
the video has some decoding errors. They look like some
parts of the stream does not get decoded correctly. The
errors in the picture can be described as follows:

For example there is a red block moving from right to left.
When viewed from disk it moves all right. But after decrypting
the block has somekind of tail dragged begind.

Or it can be described as some overflowing of values. Like
there should be black but there is something that looks like
color bleeding?

Currently I cannot provide any pictures of these but if needed
I might try to do that.

OK, so the question is that does anyone else seen this in their
Athlon computers? I have used Pentium II/III and Celeron before
but now with Athlon TB I have this? I have tested the same vob
couple of times and it looks like the error occures different
positions of the stream every time I decrypt it from the disk.

Any ideas there?

So you guys have not similar problems with Athlon processors?

I find this quite funny as it seems to me that it is only because of the Athlon processor. And it is funny that I can watch the movie from DVD fine - no problems. Not even with software encoder but ripping is the case???

!CASE SOLVED!

For some reason setting the HDD to UDMA100 caused this behaviour. Setting it back to UDMA66 solved the mysterious problem. DVD player is in the same ribbon as the HDD..:)
