Hi I have backed up all my DVD's to SVCD using
DVD2SVCD v1.0.7 build 4
CCE 2.5
I have had no problems and the quality is always great.
I congradulate the Author on a brilliant piece of programming :)

I now have a few movies that I have had for a while on DIVX
What is the best way for me to convert these to SVCD.
Can I use CCE ?
Do I need other progs ?
All help appreciated thanks.

Just converted 2 DIVX to svcd.
I just copied AVI file to my hard drive and then used the
AVI2SVCD part of DVD2SVCD.
Left for 4 hours and hey presto perfect SVCD
No probs :)

I had also noticed this recent option in D2S.

Does this mean you knoe longer have to use the other tools mentioned in the guide on the site?

Cheers

although the option has not been perfected yet, the answer should be "yes"

Hi Guys,
When I select the AVI2SVCD and then i have the option to select the file i select it HOWEVER when the 'GO' button is greyed out and cant start the process. Each DivX movie can be seen on my PC, i have verified each file. I have all the necessary DivX filters otherwise i woulc not be able to view them.

So, what could be wrong?
1) Select AVISVCD
2) Select AVI file from HHD location
3) Set working path with enought space to convert = DONE
4) Press GO -> option button greyed out -> HELP

Much appreciated
Thanks

If your source files are write-protect, the GO Button will be grayed out. Try to set the files to read/write and try again.

Labersack is right, specialy if you copy the DivX movie from a CD-rom to your hard drive, it will give the avi file "Read Only" becouse its on the CD already "Read Only"
