First of all, I must say thanks to everyone on this forum and at doom9.org. I would be scratching my head still, if it wasn't for the guides and all the info in the forums.

anyway, don't use NERO it does work and has played for me on a pioneer DV-333 standalone, but it was pixelated and froze many times. I swithched to RECORDNOW MAX 4 ($40 US) and the playback was flawless; I too use a pioneer 103. The key to playback is to keep all the movie VOB's and to include any files that are associated with these VOB's (usually they are only KB long), then to get new VTS sectors using IFOEDIT to have the proper navigation information. Also, when burning, don't forget to rename your folder to VIDEO_TS and place it in the root and include a blank AUDIO_TS folder. Your standalone looks for these folders.

Do read the DVD/MINIDVD guides on doom9, several times if you have to and carefully, they work. Don't get upset it took me a week for my first backup.
