I use xmpeg for 2 pass rips. I use it so that I dont have to rip the cd to hard drive first. What I usually do is extract the audio to wave and then encode it in vbr mp3. After I have the file size, I put that value into xvid, and I have a perfect 700mb file!( I love it)
The problem is, I have to wait for the audio to exctract and then convert before I can start the rip. It would be easier to extract the wav with the first pass, have it encoded and then fill in the value for the video size in xvid. This way all you would have to do was hit go and you would get a perfect rip.
My question is, is there any way to set something up like this with an external encoder?
