avi2svcd vaf file longevity record

hi its just taken nearly six hours to create a vaf file from a 1.5 hour dixX film, CCE actually reports 2.34 minutes.
At first i thought cce had crashed, but as i was surfing i left it, then periodically it would unfreeze and freeze up, i finally had to coax it throught the last 7% by ejecting and reloading the cd with the avi file on. Im not holdong out great hopes for this one.
Especially as the only way to get the encoder to finish the last 6% was to eject the tray? strange

ok cce reported differences in pass infomation, jumpedto 70% encoding and is now encoding at a speed of 70 fps!!, oh that has now slowed to 38fps.The first time i tried this is went fine, i think ill stick to dvd2svcd
