I have lost the IFO file to a dvdrip, I still have the VOB files.
The only program that can encode on my machine with giving me proper sound is dvd2svcd, using dvd2avi then to tmpeg only gives a buzz for sound (the same is for the GUI for toolame, only buzzing).

So, then is there a way to use dvd2svcd with vob files or is there a way to create IFO files from the VOB.

Keep Encoding,

Rip an IFO file from another DVD with the same framerate and type(NTSC/PAL) and then simply rename the VOB files to the same naming convention that this IFO file has. For instance if the IFO is named VTS_02_0.IFO you would rename the VOB files to VTS_02_1.VOB and have them increase by one number each.
Then load that IFO file like you normally would. Don't worry that the time is wrong, it doesn't matter. Most likely you will want to select the first audio stream, but if that is wrong you will need to try another one.
Remember everything that IFO tells you will be wrong so you will need to remember if the movie is 16:9 or 4:3 and set it correctly.
