I have just got a Pioneer A04 and it comes with instantcd/dvd v6.4
I have also Gear pro dvd 2,Primo dvd2,Nero 5578.
Which should I use to make sure I get the best settop dvd compatibility?
What do you use?
p.s on Derrow's site the guide says don't use joliet on (Nero) but some of the other guides(other prog's) this option is checked:confused: If this is the dvd standard why is the option there?

Nero is crap for dvd burning. Very imcompatable. Use Primodvd...First thing you do is check the size of the dvd. If its over 4.38 gigs..Use smartripper to demux the m2v and ac3. Then size the m2v down using ReMpeg2.. And then (the way i do it anyway) author menu's and such in a program like spruceup or maestro. If its under 4.38 gigs rip all files (go to files in smart ripper and hit all)... THen put all the files in a folder called VIDEO_TS (caps are important)... and burn as a data cd. That way is pretty simple. Good luck! If ya ever need any help dont hesisitate to email me at rhomsey2000@yahoo.com

Ulead DVD Studio. It burns a dvd iso so it can read in ANY PLAYER. Any media dvd-r in any player. Just as long as you use ifoedit to make the vobs into a iso format. It read in my girlfriends cheap ass tosheba that doesn't even read cd-r's.

I have the A04 as well (actually, the 104). I use PrimoDVD. Works fine in my very DVD-R finicky Panasonic RP56.
