I have a good time converting dvd and camcorder movies to divx/xvid. But I am planning to start capturing tv shows directly into one of these two formats (one pass encoding on a P3 886 with a relatively low resolution). But I suspect that capturing from TV tuner may add interlace effect which is not suitable for divx/xvid encoding. How can I get rid of these effects during capture (if my capture hardware is WinTV/PVR and I don't want to capture into MPEG I/II format using Win2000 anymore)?
