how much space is required to encode an 80min hollywood film if i use the settings given by doom9's nandub guide?
i ask this because i tried encoding a 3min clip and during first pass encoding it tells me i dont have enuff space (i had 2 gigs b4 encoding).

why is this? i am stumped.

Hi-

Do you have the DivX 3.11 Codec installed? It may do that if you don't. There are no rules about how much space is needed for a movie, but maybe 4-7 GB would be enough for the vobs. Then you'll need space for the sound and the completed encode.

thanks manono

uninstalling divx 4 then installing divx 3.11 does help make teh filesize more feasible

cheers
