Mabe I'm fool but I'm not able to do 16:9 menu with DVD Maestro. I'm working on Pal DVD project (720x576) and if I choose menu aspect 16:9 it is 4:3 after compilation. I get the same reason with motion or still menu background. But aspect ratio of main movie (16:9 also) is always O.K. If you anybody know the solution, please help.
Thanks much.

to use a 16:9 menu, you also need a 16:9 movie.

if your only movie is 4:3, then the menu will have to be 4:3 as well.

You can always IFOEdit the compilation afterwards and change the menu size.

Not sure what Auenf means - you still have a 720x576 image size, you simply select 16:9 on the menu screen in Maestro and this causes the DVD to send out the "switch to 16:9" signal to your TV.

Where are you watching your compilation? On a PC? On a standalone player? I've never had any of the problems you mentioned.

I'll try to correct menu aspect using IFOEdit, hope it will works. Thanx.

(for easy2Bcheesy) I get the same reason with PC or standalone player. It seems to be a bug of my Maestro 2912 version.

what i mean is if you have only one 4:3 movie, you cant have a 16:9 menu, cant remember if it was maestro or virtuoso that complained to me about requiring a 16:9 movie to go with the 16:9 menu, but im pretty sure its a limitation...
