okay ive added the info in manually i had it from another rip i did making sure to change the filenames and directories.

and everytime i make dvd2svcd do crash recovery it overwrites the files without the needed info.

i added it to the

bbMPEG Movie Settings1.ini

and the default.ini in the bbmpeg directory where dvd2svcd copies it!

HELP!

okay now i just edited the default.ini it copies into bbmpeg directory and added the audio file.

it made the cd1 mpeg... how do i manually make the second mpeg????

okay i tried re-editting the d2s file and then reload dvd2svcd and reload the crash recovery file and now its muxing and cutting both cds and it should make the images in a min i figure it out sorry to waste a forum thread!

I wonder if having the directory longer then the 8 charater dos standard it screwed up. If you look at this line:
"J:\DVD2SVCD\BeSweet\BeSweet.exe" -core( -input "J:\dvdripping\legallyblonde\Encoded_audio_1.mp2.wav" -output "J:\DVDRIP~1\LEGALL~1

DVD2SVCD is converting the folder name to the 8 character standard and by doing this it's adding in two possible problem characters(~, 1) which are known to cause grief with BBmpeg.

I don't know if this is a problem, but if BBmpeg has to use a line with those characters in it BBmpeg would error out.

When I get some time I will look into this. I usually do my encodes in the root directory so have never had an issue like this.

i'm sorry i can't give you the answer to your problem. i just want to point out that you're not the only one experiencing this problem:
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=20748

also, this is not the first time you mentioned this issue:
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=21850

perhaps you two should hook up :p

btw
what happens if you make the project file read-only? does it still get changed or do you get an error? just a thought...

As da Franksta pointed out, I had the same problem a while back. However, I have not found a reason - my project is located in d:\movie and is therefore neither comprised of illegal characters nor of long names.

The problem can be worked around by closing DVD2SVCD, manually inserting the filenames in the project file, restarting DVD2SVCD and performing a crash recovery.

It occured twice in fast succession and has vanished for me. However, it seems to be more a DVD2SVCD-problem than a bbmpeg-problem, because the projectfile will not be edited by bbmpeg but by DVD2SVCD.

Bye,

Detlev

yes it is a dvd2svcd problem because ALL the audio info is missing from the main d2s file. and your right IF you close dvd2svcd and make changes and then do crash recovery it works! and also if you make the changes and then RELOAD the d2s file it works also... seems that dvd2svcd caches the file once it is loaded and then REWRITES the d2s file when it starts the recovery. so if u edit it and had a crsh recovery loaded it uses the old loaded one. :/

bbmpeg completed and finished everything suprisingly!

im going to have to keep my directory names shorter... just like looking at it and knowing what it is instead of seeing legalb and wondering what it is...

:P
