I'm trying to take a 25fps non-anamorphic (TV series) PAL DVD (only 22min segment!) and put it into DiVX 4. I've tried a bunch of CompCheck numbers, each one gets something about 300%-400%. This last (compcheck value of 1) one came out 401.1%! What's going on? It reads 0.519 Bits per frame. Another one (compcheck value of 7) came out 282.3%. They're all in the red.

DiVX 5 is loaded on the system, but I'm doing a DiVX 3.11Alpha encode.

Thanks!

Hi-you didn't say what resolution you were using, but it's obvious you maxed out your file size, and can put 4 or 5 of your episodes on the CD. If you change your desired file size to, say, 175 MB, the figures would be different. And did you make allowance for the audio? And are you using a very low resolution?

Ahh, okay. I'm in way over my head with this. I think I'll just stick to VCDs - which take 16 hours to encode on my P4 1.3GHz.
