some questions to clear thigns up for me:

1. In the debug output, when I'm watching it encode the second pass, and it says like... 270Kbps..or like 35Kbps during a black transition or absolutly no movment..you know what I mean; If Minimum allowable bitrate is set to 460, does it accually revert to that bitrate if it goes under this? That means that all the black frames a scene has are accually 460Kbps, right? If this is true then why is there a high pass setting if it just gets set to 460?

2. I always set internal SCD to 100% and create an .ecf file about 200frames max and 5frames min. When I load this ecf file for the second pass I'm asuming that it overrides nandub's kf insertion but not antishit when it says to add a kf, right? Also, if I do NO curve calculations, nothing, just load the .stats file, set the min/max kf insertion, press auto, and save the ecf...does this ecf have and bearing on curve or bitrate or anything, or JUST kf insertion.

1. min. allowed bitrate refers to curve profiling, not actual framesize.

if a frame takes less than 460kbps it will simply be compressed with drf2, not magically scaled to 460kbps :-)

2. who the heck knows. just check the ecf itself if it has anything other than KF placements :/
