Hello everybody,

The cause of all those question is my fight during so many hours with TSCV bugs...

In the Settings tab are the use of the width and height of the chapter picture in Chapter tab related to generated still menu? Why each time TSCV is closed do they reset, while other settings as the Target resize for mpeg2enc remain the same?

And why the loading of a saved project just put a mess in many of the project settings, for instance by putting unrequested and undeletable Select References in some menus and a 2nd mpeg of the project stucture, and changing its place in the structure, or deleting all requested files in the filesystem? Because of all this bugs it's impossible to rely now on a saved project to gain a lot of time in a VCD preparation.

If a mpeg was put then deleted in the structure, its reference remains in the list. Then is it okay to continue with the same project as long as its reference is not used, or do I have to restart it as Doom9 told to do in his guide to make a sure and safe structure?

Is it true that the Sequence Background Files to be used for the menu generator have to be in the Seq directory of TSCV, and begin with a file named seq-0000000? If not then where and how do they have to be saved? Sorry if this question may sound dumb, but it's a crucial information in making a motion menu background, that I've never seen anywhere!
And it seems like even if "Make BMP for best quality" isn't checked in addition to "Encode with TMPG", after the chapter preview shots have been generated TMPG stops by still searching for a bmp file.

Why does the boot animation splash screen of TSCV 0.84r1and r2 tell they are development versions, while the history text tells they are respec and a bugfix one? As it is contradictory, which is true?

Is there a use and way to choose the quality setting ot TMPG before TSCV use it to encode the motion menu?

I don't know if this is going to be a satisfactory answer to your question, but it might provide you with other options for making a good motion menu.
For me, tscv does't work very good, and the animated thumbnails look horrible. Searcing for answer to my questions, I came upon this guide (http://www.geocities.com/diarav2002/vcd/vcd_menu_guide.html),wich explains how to make motion menu, with animated thumbnails, using avisynt and virtual dub.
It works great once you have avisynth working propperly, the menus created with it look beautiful, and you can have if you want, animated thumbnails over an animated background.
I just started using it, I only made a few menus, but as I said, they came out looking great.
If you are going to go for it, give it a try, and know that if you only want the thumbnails over a static background, the picture you use, doesn't have to have the spaces for the thumbnails cut out as the guide states.
It works great for me, and if I can be of any help, I'll be reading the forum, and try to give some additional information if desired.
I wish you luck.
