Another little tool, this time graphic interface. :)
It can be downloaded here (http://usuarios.lycos.es/taxidermista/shareware/subrip2maestro.zip).
This is the right Subrip config for palette and cropping:

Put .SRT, .STL and .BMPs files in the same folder. Hope it works fine. :)

Are these links no longer working?

Yes, they work...sometimes. Tripod, you know. :)

vertical alignment: center
are you sure? When I did that for scenarist (s3conv) I had my subs over the image rather than in the black bars where they belong.

No, there's no alignment conf., you go from Subrip format with bmps to stl format. BMP subpictures are 720x576 in size and text position is absolute (Subrip get it from the vobs).

well.. if you say so.. maestro is kinda bitchy on my system.. I've had better success with Scenarist. I just know from s3conv that I had to align the subs vertically to the bottom.. and mind you, we're using the same tool and the same subrip configuration.. if I used aligment center the bmps had the right size but the subtitle position was moved towards the center as compared with the original subs.. and you're not changing the subs, are you? then if maestro takes these bmps as they are without changing the subtitle position in the bitmaps how can the subs not be in the center?

Umm that program you offered to automate the conversion seems to only work correctly for PAL formats, doing us NTSC users no good. Any chance for an update on it?

Doom9, If you import 720x576 (PAL version of course) subpictures Maestro can't do anything about subtitle position.
Eyes`Only, timing problems?

Taxidermista,
Yeah exactly. If you open up the file in notepad, you'll notice it says PAL format. I tried it out and the timing was definitely off. Great idea for a program, just needs to appeal to us NTSC users also, ya know?

Could you send your .stl and .srt files, please?

.stl?
i've attached the .srt, does this help? By the way how do you download these attachments that are attached? I couldn't figure out how to test if it was attached or not.
