hi there! dont't know if this question already got discussed, so please tell me, if so...
i use dvd2avi as a frameserver through vfapi for nandub. now i got this mpeg2 movie i transcoded to divx (3.11), and after multiplexing, a/v was out of synch.

the strange thing is:
mpeg2 source file is 90:48 long (says dvd2avi and WMP 6.4)
when i extract the audio file (mp2) it's also 90:48 long.
but when i play my vfapi-project.avi file, it's 91:59 (!).
so this totally screwed up my movie.

btw, dvd2avi gives me this information on the movie:
aspect 4:3
frame rate: 24.000
video type: FILM
frame type: progressive

should my movie have 23.976 frames instead of 24.000 fps? how do i do that? is there a way to save my video file and "stretch" the audio a little bit, or do i have to reencode?

thx for your help!

It shouldn't be too difficult. Try some of the procedures in http://www.doom9.org/virtualdub_procedures.htm

If you're using version 1.85 of dvd2avi then you need to manually edit the d2v file with a text editor. 1.85 puts in 24000 instead of 23976. So just manually change the 24 to 23976 and all should work fine.

If you want to set the framerate to 23.976, and if you have already done your final avi you can change the framerate easily using
