OggDS 0.8.9 playback dropping sound

I had problems with OggDS 0.8.8 muxed files not playing the sound and also being jerky so I went back to 0.8.7. Today I tried 0.8.9 and had the same problem. I went back to 0.8.7 and muxed the file again and it worked fine. However, the file muxed with 0.8.9 filters played back fine using the 0.8.7 filters, so the problem is not with the muxing afterall but rather with the playback. Does anyone know a fix for this? I'm using windows 2000 SP2 and media player 6.4.
