I do ac3 -> wav conversion with azid 1.8 and besweet. One some ac3 files I'm getting lots of "downmix overflow" messages in command window. Are those errors of just info ? Azid 1.7.1 does not produce those messages so I'm wondering if "downmix overflow" is some kind of error and I should use azid 1.7.1 to avoid them of it's ok to use 1.8 and just ignore them ?

Azid 1.8 readme says :

- Fixed the downmix overflow logic. The decoder will now print the
largest overflow within a block, not the first, making it more
reliable for finding the maximum level of the file.

But I have no idea how to interpret that or if this answers my question

please point-out the commandline was used, and the overflow value (full error message).

If all the overflow values are just a little over 0 dB (or, usually below 1 dB), then you may probably not hear it. But if the values are very much differing (e.g. up to several dB), then it is possible that you used a remarkably wrong setup (e.g. no auto-gain, but instead a high constant value) - in this case, it is indeed important to list your command line here.

Sorry. My fault - didn't check autogain.
