DVD Compliant m2v with 24fps won't import into any authoring programs?

I transcoded the VOBs with DVD2AVI->AVISynth->CCE using the guides to make sure I did it correctly, ended up with an m2v and ac3 which are, as far as I can tell, totally DVD compliant (720x480, 23.976fps, 9800000bps, 48khz audio)...and I followed the guide 'getting the best out of CCE' to a T. No DVD authoring programs will import it though, all of them claim 'non-compliant frame-rate of 23.967'. I've tried it in maestro, spruce up, dvd-wise, and scenarist. I would rather nor re-encode it again if there is some other way around it...not to mention, I wouldnt no what I did wrong in the first place...any suggestions?

umm.. somewhere along the way you have to use pulldown.exe to add 2:3 pulldown flags

Um, duh...sorry, I see that that was step 5 in the guide now...I had stopped when it said you need not go into step 4 if the file was of small enough size after the first pass...thanks!
