When I play back a mono ogg it sounds like it's half the speed of the original AC3! I use the newest Ogg DSF!
Anyone experienced similiar?

Help could be available if your encoding details were available

You're right! sorry.
I use Ogg DSF 0.9.8.9.
Since there is no way to encode a ac3 to ogg mono on the fly, I put the ac3 to a wav using Azid. Then I used OggEnc with -C1 to give me a mono sound file. The encoding stopped after 10s though leaving a small (2min) ogg file on my HD that is playable though. I opened it with WinAmp, bsPlayer, ZoomPlayer but the speed is awfully slow!
I don't know why the encoding stops yet but I doubt that it's so slow because of not having the entire audio: Ogg is error tolerant!
Any thoughts?

I seen a post the other day wher someone was using HeadAC3he to encode a mono Ogg. It's also in the HeadAC3he FAQ AFAIK.

No. Unfortunately it's not. There's being described how to transcode a mono(1) AC3 to ogg. But I want to transcode a mono(2 Channels=Left+Right) to a mono(1) ogg.

the last time i tried muxing a mono vorbis file into an ogg movie, i had some problems with playback. haven't tried it with a filter since 0.9.8.6 though, but i wouldn't be surprised if it still had issues. it's a shame, because sometimes you don't really need stereo, and can save a lot of space by just downmixing into mono.
