I have been experimenting with Divx5's B-frames. I am quite impressed with the reduction in file size and the negligible reduction in video quality.
I also recall Doom9 mentioning that B-frames are coming to the open-source XviD. Do you guys have any idea when B-frames will be implemented into XviD?

give the coders a break ;) , i bet they're beavering away like ... well beavers. seriously, from -h's hint-dropping i'd say soon, if i'm not mistaken the DS filter has already got b-frame support. go sacrifice a couple of goats if it'll make the wait easier. works for me :D
