hi,

first off all dvd2svcd is the best program to to convert a dvd to a svcd. before dvd2svcd i did it 'by hand' - it took a LOT of time.

i have some suggestions to make it more 'perfect'.

1. it would be nice if there is an option to add a 4sec blackscreen (or whatever - dvd2svcd logo in loop or something like that) at the end of every craeted mpg video. because some standalone dvd players wont play the last 4 sec of an movie (like the yamakawa series). so if there is a part of the movie you wont see it but if there is a blackscreen you wouldnt care.
for now i'm helping me doing this by myself with tmpgenc (joining these 4 sec of blckscreen) but so i cant use the vcdxbuild authoring function ond so i have no chapters (equal to the ones on dvd).

2. editing the avs is very useful but i think it should be possible to do this before the rip starts.

3. if i do a 2cd rip (or more) and select 'overlap' (to avoid missing seconds at the end of the first cd) dvd2svcd does not add subtitles to the last seconds of the first cd (if overlap is 15 sec then in the last 15 sec no subs) - okay this thems to be a bug because if im doing a one cd rip and overlap is set this happens too!

i think that sometimes to test changes in avs d2v file is required, but audio processing can be done after editing avs.

If yours dont play the last 4 seconds, just set the overlap to 4-6 seconds vs the default 2 seconds on multiple cd movies.

On single cd dvds, theres normally at least 4 seconds of blackscreen after the credits.
