Hi,

I'm trying to make SVCD from AVI file (oryginaly from miniDV camcorder) using AVI2SVCD.
The problem is that BeSweet working under AVI2SVCD stops encodnig audio after 4min 42sek of encoded material, so if the movie is longer that 4:42 after that time the sound stops.
So SVCD is with sound only for 4min 42sek.
I have tryed with diferend AVI files (oryginaly from camcorder and from Pinnacele Studio 7) and the result is still the same.

Please help to solve this problem.

i would need the BeSweet logfile, that's extracted_audio_1.log..

btw, @mods,
isn't there a known issue regarding DV audio ? as you know, BeSweet doesn't support DV audio, and it should only handle that audio stream aftEr it been decoded to wav.

I will attach this log file later, I'm in the office again.

Do you suggest to extract audio with for ex. Nundub to WAV file
and than put it together again before processing in avi2svcd?

I can try doing this that way. No problem.

What I did to make BeSweet go over 4min 42 sek.

I used NunDub to extract WAV from my AVI file.
Than I extracted video
and on the end I blended WAV with AVI file.

Adamo i'm not sure i understand - did you solve the problem ?

if not..
a. what's the filesize ?
b. i see that the file is already normalized (total gain=0db), so you might wanna try running BeSweet without -ota( -g max ).

I think that the problem is solved, but I don't know if it is the right solution (I have tested it only on one file) and it takes a lot of time.

I used NunDub to SAVE WAV from my DV format file
than I save only VIDEO from that DV format file.

And then I make AVI file from this video and WAV file.
By doing that I have AVI file with WAV format audio.
Every step of this operation takes quite a long time.

I have tried this operation only with one 2 gigs DV file
and BeSweet did all its work.

Now I have second AVI file which is 9,8 GB.

I hope that this is not one and only method for forcing
BeSweet to proces DV format AVI files becouse on my computer it takes
additional 2 hours on every 1 hour of movie.

To DSPguru

unfortunately after operation of changing audio to WAV BeSweet stop but after 9 min 22 sek :(

I also divided my 10g AVI file into five 2gb files and than made a batch but then BeSweet didn't work at all :( and the extracted by avi2svcd WAV audio file was 4gb and stoped only because of fat32 file size limit.

I was wondering is there any other way to process my DV movie with avi2svcd?

Maybe avi2svcd can process my AVI file without sound and than somehow add sound to the image?

Maybe i should process my AVI file with some other codec before avi2svcd? But which codec will not destroy the quality???

Please help.

all i can say is - BeSweet supported filetypes are :
16bit wavs,mp2,mp3,mpa,ac3.

if you have a supported file format that BeSweet fails to transcode, please post all info including logfile and filesize.
also, try to play this file with any player and publish the file info supplied by this player.

sorry,

b. i see that the file is already normalized (total gain=0db), so you might wanna try running BeSweet without -ota( -g max ).

but how to do this in AVI2SVCD ? The program is doing it by it self.
