I have just upgraded to DivX 5, and I am now getting an error while performing the compressibility check in GKNOT. The error reads, "+ unknown error: compressibility check failed". This happens when I am at 100% of the check and does not populate the compressibility test values in gknot. This has worked flawlessly prior to the upgrade, and is a huge help in making sure I have an optimal resolution. I understand there are compatibility issues with gknot and divX 5, is this one of them? Thanks for the help.

Hi,
As of right now, Gknot does not support DivX 5 without some help.
There's a thread on this somewhere, use the search.

How did you manage to make a compressability check with DivX5 in GKnot anyways? It's not possible directly from within GKnot, you'll have to use VDub for it.

@dragoman:
He also said this:
This happens when I am at 100% of the check
It shouldn't even get that far if he doesn't have the DivX4 codec due to installing DivX5, which is why I was asking how he did it.

The check was being performed with VDUB, not gknot. Yes, I am a noob.
