View Full Version : GOP Header error in DVDit from TMPGEnc files

I'm trying to burn a test DVD from DVDit using files I encoded in TMPGEnc, but get the error "Each GOP Header must be preceeded by a sequence header." The files play fine in DVDit and PowerDVD, but it just wont let me create a disc with them.

I've tried using the Wizard settings in TMPGEnc as well as the ones in the Doom9 article, but get the same results. The TMPGEnc website seems to be down, so no luck there. I'm sure it's something simple, but what?

Thanks,

Had the same problem!

In Tmpg Mpeg-options you must set the option 'Output Interval of Sequence Header' to 1 GOP, and set the maximum number of frames in a GOP to 15.

Hmmm. I tried that but still got the same error.

Then try to set the output type of the m2v file to Video-only, instead of System-Video only.

I had the same error message. "Upgrade" to version 2.5 , it solves the problem.

I'm running 2.53. By putting "upgrade" in quotes, do you actually mean go back to the older version?

Sorry, I wasn't clear in the use of my quotes. I would suggest using Kazaa to try and find a trial version of of DVDIt 2.5 PE that you can try out to determine if it will fit your needs. Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks--I found a better solution...DVDMaestro! Provides the subtitle support I wanted too.
