Many people in here use ms windows to encode there films but have anyone try using linux to encode films?

Well in terms of this section it is not likely as the linux 5.0 encoder has not been released. Just the decoder. But I know of people who have indeed been dooing it with 4.x. But myself even being the big linux freak that I am have not done it. I am waiting on Avery to port Virtualdub or some other similar program to be written.
