I have been getting weird reports that dvd2svcd suddenly doesn't work anymore and the only red thread I can find is that it happens when the user installs divx5. Any thoughts/enlightment/solutions on this?

Hi,
At the moment i'm running dvd2svcd 1.0.7 build 4 And it works fine (with both cce and tmpgenc). Installed divx5 a few days again.
What seems to be the problem?

If I only knew. I only report here, what I have been getting mails about. So I wondered if this was a general problem with divx5 or just a fluke. Some or the mails states that when divx5 has been installed dvd2svcd wont even start without an Access Violation, others say that Avisynth gives a Access Violation. But when they uninstall divx5 and dvd2svcd and then reinstalls dvd2svcd it all works again.

IŽll check on that on my system...I also have some trouble but it could be some other reason.

Hi dvd2svcd,
I have installed DivX5 after I had installed D2S 1.07 B4 and did not had any problems with D2S nor Avisynth or any other program of the bundle yet - with Win2k Pro SP2 SRP1.
Greetings,

I installed divx5 pro and since then done about 6 or so dvds. No problems at all. Well only one but I used safe mode and all was well.

Ok, must be a fluke then, thanks for all your reports :)
