I need to find a job and the increasing amount of lazy questions by people that break every forum rule by not reading the faqs and using the SEARCH button are driving me up the wall.
I'm done for a while, Cya.

:( I am sad that you have to leave us and I hope you do find a good job. I don't think I have ever praised you publicly, but you were a godsend for me. I sincerly doubt that dvd2svcd ever would have become what it has become without your neverending support, both personal and forum wise. Your forum posts has always had a deep insight in both understanding of the program, but more importantly how to write so that people of all levels understood your point.
Thanks for all, and do come back whenever you feel like it.
Your friend in time, dvd2svcd.

Sad to see you go as I didnt have the oppurtunity to get you known.
I´ve read so many important answers from you in here, that helped me to get in with my problems without posting a single question up to yet :) (well never say never)
Thank you for your support here.

Hi DDogg,
be sure I will miss you and your comments and inputs with your unique way to put things into words and sentences. The forum will not be the same without you. :(
I wish you all the best for finding a new and good job so that it will not take too long till you return to the forum.
With all the best wishes,

For those of you who don't know DDogg is one of the main bug testers for DVD2SVCD currently and in the past. He sucks at math  (so do I) but other than that has advanced knowledge of every aspect of DVD2SVCD and divx, frameserving, audio encoding, etc. I believe he was 'The One' amongst a few dvd2svcd the programmer also who helped come up with Auto detect azid feature that detects the maximum gain db level. Before that time it was a guessing game and your svcd sounded either too soft or if it sounded loud enough you risked distortion.
DDogg not sure exactly when, but I'm gonna just guess June 2001 he started helping out DVD2SVCD with his program. Since then he's had probably got the second most number of posts behind DVD2SVCD. He had thousands and thousands of posts on the old retired ezboard. He retired before for 3 months or so and just came back recently past couple of months. Not saying we'll see him back but hopefully he'll drop by in a few months to say hi.
DDogg has done an awesome job of writing up COMMON SENSE advice and structure the forums (once splitting them and then current form). Awesome volunteer job. DDogg was one of the #1 beta testers and pre-release testers around. DVD2SVCD would send him pre-releases since DDogg had the knowledge to send back copious and relevant bug reports.
In addition, DDogg started back in Sep 2001 (I'm guessing) of CCE CBR, temporal smoothing, bicubic values, etc. to obtain optimum visual quality. He's spent countless, selfless hours testing and re-testing. Much thanks go outs to DDogg for his huge efforts. Since DVD2SVCD gives out big wet kisses to DSPGuru, I'd like to take this moment to give out a gigantic mushy moist kiss to DDogg from all of us for an awesome volunteer effort.
One of the main reasons I stepped down as a mod I felt pressured to read each and every post which I used to do. Damn time consuming to say the least. Now I just pick the threads which interest me. Otherwise, I was getting burnt out bigtime. Hint to current mods: don't feel that pressure I did and take a break everynow and then.
For those too lazy to do what DDogg and DVD2SVCD recommend then don't use the DVD2SVCD software and don't post...go use DVD-Dup $40 or DVDx, you lazy asses deserve it!

I've only just begun posting on this board, but in the 6 months its taken me to learn the ins and outs of digital video, and the few months that I've been learning from this board, Ddogg has been an incredible help and a great guy to have around.
I, like so many others, am gonna miss seein ya Ddogg, the best of luck with your job and I definitely hope to see you sometime in the near future! Thanks for everything and I'm sorry you got fed up with some of the lesser minded of us (then again.. who dosent e.e).
It's really been great to have you here, good luck!

thank you ddog for your support here at the forum, beside the beta testing software and all I guess this board would not be what it is today without you.
I know that if I had something to write and ask that was in a sense reletive to anything you where the one to answer first.
So I know that it must have been a tremendius job to read all posts and answer as fast as you did.
Thank you once again and hope to atleast see some posts from you in the future. not maybe as a super modurator but atleast as a member of the board.
said that I just want to say we must have a silent moment for you know because this is one of the greyest days I have encountered when it comes to this comunety.
Best Regards
Kandor

in germany we would say:
"jung et wa schön mit dir, aber et kommt für jeden die zeit zu gehen."
ok i translate it in english:
"hey man the time with you was very cool, but for everybody there comes the time to go"
hey man you were one who has the answer to any our problems and question.we will all miss you.
