A big thx to Tobias for the new 8.9 version, it has fixed all my crashing issues and playback is very smooth.

Request for OggCut-
* Once an OGM file is opened in OggCut could it be possible to view the audio properties(ie 48khz, 6ch)? I see this is possible to view during playback via the Vorbis Decoder filter but it would also be most helpful to see in OggCut.

* Any plans to support drag and drop functionality in the future?

Downloaded 0.9.8.9 and tried to convert an divx3.1 avi with 128 mp3 and 23.976 fps to ogm using graphedit. Muxing works fine without giving me error messages, but when I open the media there's no sound. I cannot access the language menu of wmp 6.4 either!

AMD Athlon 800.
400 MB SDRAM.
Geforce 2MX.
MS Windows XP Pro.

EDIT: Otherwise OggDS is working fine for me and hasn't given me any graphedit crashes until now!

A big thank to Tobias too !
What would be nice with Oggcut, would be to have the possibility to go forward or backward, keyframe by keyframe.
Second, if there were an option to go to the first KF after xxx Mo, like what is possible with NanDub, OggCut would be perfect for ogm !
Great job :)

You bring up a good point actually. Is it really necessary to cut at a key frame when dealing with Ogg containers? It doesn't appear so at least from what I'm seeing. I can cut the OGM file anywhere and it still plays perfectly.

I like the idea of seeking through the keyframes.

any one an idea why I get an "Access violation at address 778CB673 in module 'ntdll.dll'. Read of address 00C10010" or OggCut just closes when I want to splitt a file,.. (file plays fine in Bsplayer and has 2 Ogg audiostream and a Xvid Video stream; my OS is Win2kpro)

From the technical point of view the stop position needn't be at a key frame, it can be anywhere. On the other it doesn't make sense to anywhere else than on a keyframe because everything until the next key frame could not be shown without the keyframe before.
Usually you will cut the next segment at the end of the segment before, therefore I though it would be a good idea stop on keyframes as well.
Anyway I will try to add this in future version. But please understand that my major effort is improving the filters. The OggCut is more designed as a simple tool and as an example how to use the filters. (Therefore the source code is available as well). Anyway I will add some functionality but with lower priority than the filter development.

Best regards,
Tobias

First, great job with all the Ogg's stuff, i can't imaging doing something else now :)

I have for you what could be a little bug report about OggCut:
1) When you save the second part of an .ogm (after having cut the first part), the progress bar goes directly to 50%, then starts to progress (nothing annoying here)
2) OggCut crashes when i try to overwrite an existing file: e.g. i open myfile.ogm, save the first part myfile1.ogm, then cut the second part myfile2.ogm...when i change it's size, or anything else, and resave it, with the same name, OggCut crashes (nothing annoying here too, but a little bit more serious :))

About the 'next KF' button, it was just to ease the finding of scene changes (so that the CD change doesn't kill the ambience), but i admit i thought ogms worked like avis, where you have to cut on the KF. I completely understand this isn't top priority on your shopping list :) (sorry, private french joke...todo list, in fact).

About the filters, i have a strange problem, maybe i'm the only one who's got it:
i need OggDS 0.9.8.9 to create my ogm files (else, everything crashes), but i need the 0.9.8.6 to read them (else, with 0.9.8.9, WMP6.4 has great difficulties, it open them, but stay at 0.00, saying it's reading, but it's not :(). Maybe it's an issue, maybe it's my computer, i don't know...Does anyone have such a problem ?

Ok, that's all for today, but keep in mind that i'm pretty happy with what i have (your stuff) :)

Regards

i also have some problems with 0.9.8.9... i also experienced that for some movies there's no sound generated. bsplayer and wmp sees that there is sound in the movie but it's not actually played. it was introduced with the multi channel support 0.9.8.8, iirc. with 0.9.8.7 the same movie plays with sound... i tried to render the stream with graphedit and the virbis decoder's output was not connected to the audio device?! when i connected it by hand then it played the sound fine! (i have an fm801 based 5.1 card)

another problem is with a divx4 movie and only wmp 6.4. the movie is rendered as if it were rotated (not shifted) with half width to the right. see attachment! with bsplayer it plays fine, and here at my work machine it simply doens't play with mplayer2, only bsplayer. tnt2 here, kyro2 at home.

ah, and of course a LOT of thanks to Tobias!!! :)
