DVD-RW on PS2

I am just wondering how many people if any have gotten a DVD-RW backup to work on a PS2?

I have read many places that it wont work, but there have also been several people say they have gotten it to work. I have the Version 5 board, and someone said it would work on that, but I havent got it to work yet.

Are you talking about games or movies??? I've got the first series PS2 which is the JAP 1000 series and DVD-RW movies wont play on it.

dvd-rw work fine for movies and games on my v5 ps2 (verbatim dvd-rw)
