I have encoded a couple of movies using Doom9's Divx5 guide, and I am very happy with the results. I just have one slight problem. When I fast forward the movie, it takes much longer to sync up the audio/video (20 seconds vs. 5 seconds) than it did with my Divx4 encodings. The video is very quick for 20 seconds or so while it is catching up with the audio. In the Divx5 settings for Virtualdub, it is set to insert a keyframe every 300 frames with a 50% scene change threshold. Are there better settings that will help fix my problem without inserting too many keyframes? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I've had this problem myself, but usually with ac3 sound.

I set keyframes a little closer together, around every 240 frames or so...

Audio interleaving is set to every 1 frame, does anyone have a better setting than this...

This only happens with DivX 5 Pro.
