combining 2 DVD's to make 1?? (lawrence of Arabia)

I want to back up my 2 disk lawrence of Arabia to 1 DVD-R....

how would I do this?

the movie has an intermission, and then you would put disk 2 in...

I am going to have to ReMPEG2 the video, but I don't know how to join them....

when you have so many forums devoted to very specific things, I find that in *some* cases, crossing can yeild good results...

I thought I would ask both dvd authors, AND ifoedit people...

You can load all your VOBS to DVD2AVI. Then make a project including both parts at the same time. Then re-encode using TMPGEnc. Resultant m2v file can be be multiplexecd using any DVD authoring program...

You'll see that there are more than 9 VOBs... If you're using Smartripper change the filesize. I backed up this movie onto one DVD-R with a single soundtrack and it looks great.
