Access violation when trying to open *.d2v file

I'm getting "Access violation at address 0000000. Read of address 0000000" when trying to open any *.d2v file. I've already tried recreating the .d2v file via DVD2AVI several times. I was able to make this work before but not anymore. Not sure whats going on.

Any ideas?

When in doubt, reinstall GKnot.

thanks. turns out I had 2 installs of Gknot, one full install, and one peiced install. The peiced install was the one giving me the errors.
