Hi there..

I've have this problem which I've encountered after installing DivX 5 Pro Codec on my PC.

When I try to configure the Avi Plugin in Xmpeg 4.31 I can only set the Video Codec part. The Audio part is set to << Uncompressed PCM Audio << and there's no MP3 codec or DivX Audio Codec like there was i DivX 3+4 (FlaskMPEG). How can I get this ? - Do I need another plugin for audio ?

I've used all standard settings in Xmpeg. While compiling my PC might crash with no warning at all. With FlaskMPEG the program just crashes emidiately after starting Flasking.

This however didn't happen when I used DivX3 or 4.

This is also my first attempt of using Xmpeg. I've used FlaskMPEG until now.

Please help...

Um, yes it is.

Sometimes change may be a good thing. I think you need to learn a new method for encoding. I don't think anyone uses Flask or Xmpeg anymore -- except Thomas Pabst who uses it for benchmark purposes.

Anyway, I suggest you use the DVD2AVI approach. Try starting with Doom9's Gknot section.

If you still have trouble email me and I'll run you through the basics.
