Just kidding!

I'm looking for a way to install the divxa32.acm only, without the divx 3.11 package.
I'm doing an install package for only Playback and therefor I want that in it, just for the compatability, since I used it quite often for the specials and the commentary tracks.
I looked into the *.inf file of the divx3 install, but can't say I can grab it mentally.

So, can anybody help? It can't be much more than registering and editing the Registry a bit, can it. Does it have to be a new Audio-, Video-, and Gamecontroller?

I think it is seperately available in the Nimo's install package, so maybe it is possible?

Your making it more difficult than it has to be.

I'm not sure about Nimo's pack but I know Tsunami's pack has the codec you can select seperately.

Hmm, few months ago i made such a .inf file that will only install WMA codecs, if u want it private message me ur email and ill send it to u.

Nimo's pack is totally configurable. You can install only one thing or everything. It all depends on what you want.

Yes I know. I just wonder how he did it. I would love to have his NSIS Script. Is there a way to extract that script from the setup.exe?

So, if I understand the DivXAudio Installer 4.02 correctly all there is to it is to copy the divxa32.acm file to the System(32) Folder and
under Win98:

Adding in [Driver32] of System.ini : msacm.divxa32=DivXa32.acm
and into the Registry :
HKLM,SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\MediaResources\acm\msacm.divxa32,Description,,DivX ;-) Audio Compressor
HKLM,SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\MediaResources\acm\msacm.divxa32,Driver,,DivXa32.acm
HKLM,SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\MediaResources\acm\msacm.divxa32,FriendlyName,,DivX ;-) Audio Compressor

under Win NT/2000/XP
just into the Registry:
HKLM,SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\drivers.desc,DivXa32.acm,,DivX ;-) Audio Compressor
HKLM,SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\drivers32,msacm.divxa32,,DivXa32.acm

That should work, right?

When I have some time I will try that in the installer.
