Hello all,
Surprisingly, this is my first time posting here. And yes, I did a search first. I recently bought an Panasonic RP56. At my last job, we had a A03 in the lab and I was able to make two DVDs that played fine in my bro's cheap ass 4 year old Divx Proscan DVD player. Of course, they didn't play in my RP56. Sad, since it is a fantastic player for the price that I got it for ($129 total). These two tests discs were burned on Verbatium and Mitsui 4.7 gig DVD-R respectively.
I have read mixed reports of the RP56 and DVD-R/W compatibility from another site (which won't be named) and one confirmed report from this site of the RP56 working fine with Pioneer and Apple media. That is great, at least it works with some types of media. But, I really don't want to pay that premium all the time. Going to be getting a DVcam soon, and my niece and newphew are both growing up very fast. Going to be talking soon and I want to get that all on digital video :). So, what I am getting at is, owners of the RP56 and a DVD-R/W drive, what brands of media besides Pioneer and Apple have you gotten to work with the RP56. And, anyone get DVD-RW to work with the player? What brand?
Thanks in advance............
