Automated Still Capture With Virtual Dub

Hi there.

I would like to create a time laped movie with my webcam. I would like to be able to capture stills with VDub from the video source coming from the webcam. Recording video from that source is no problem, but I need a way to capture a frame every 3, or 5 seconds. It would also be very convenient if the files were automatically named in a sequential order. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If this cannot be done with VDub, please point me in the right direction if you can.

I'm not 100% sure, but you might have some luck with the modified Vdub from www.virtualdub.net (http://www.virtualdub.net) as that has a capture timer as for the number of frames you want to capture... I haven't got a clue how you control that.
