First, my capture card is a Hauppauge WinTV GO running in win 2000.
When I try to install the wdm drivers from http://btwincap.sourceforge.net the installer autodetects my card ok and it says install successfull.
When I open my Wintv32 application after, it says "Failed to create TV Window. Another application may be using the driver."
No other program shoul be using the driver at this moment. The other Hauppauge drivers worked ok, but I like to try those improved ones.
Does anyone know what could be wrong?

did you remove the old drivers, there's probably a conflict between the original Hauppauge and the new one. The improved version of sourceforge offers an "uninstall" which basically removes all BT8xx information on your system. see q17 in the faq of the wdm driver.
maybe this will solve the problem.

In the install manual it says that you must NOT uninstall any driver allready on the system. The installer will take care of that and the uninstall feature is only made for removing the sourceforge BT8xx driver.
Can anyone confirm that this driver actually works with a WinTV GO and how did you install it??

It looks like the old driver is still there.
I had the same problem with my ATI TV wonder and I solved it this way:
Run the btw installer and choose uninstall.
Restart the computer.
Windows will detect the board and will try to install the drivers. Choose cancel and let windows finish to start.
Now, run btw installer and choose install.

Good luck
