First: Has Gknot squared away the known problem of not successfully opening the log file for the second pass?
Now onto the problems at hand. Using the DivX 5 guide for accuracy of procedure, I successfully ripped and encoded Phantom Menace.
Problem one: When the opening titles roll, they will flash for a moment into Spanish, then French, then English again. The audio (music only) follows suit. I've used Nandub to excise what I'm talking about so if you're inclined to see (no audio to reduce the file size), go to
http://www.creativemusic.com/incoming/phantom_menace_second_pass_opening.avi
The clip is small, 2.8 megs
Once the bulk of the movie begins, there are no subs and it's gorgeous.
Problem two: The audio is horribly out of sync by several seconds. It occurs to me that problem one may be creating problem two.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
